Folly Beach: A Lowcountry Tale by Dorothea Benton Frank

Everything in Cate Cooper's life has fallen apart. Homeless, alone, and broken, she returns to Folly Beach, South Carolina where as a child she couldn't wait to escape. Settling into a tiny cottage named the Porgy House, Cate reads the memoirs of the previous owners, Dorothy and DuBose Haywood and their friend, the famous George Gershwin. Although they have passed, Cate discovers their spirit and passion to be contagious. Learning to let go of the past, to be open to endless possibilities fill Cate with unexpected self-discovery, happiness and success. A nice story of family and sisters, love and hope that can be found in the most unexpected places. A great beach read!
